You Burn With The Brightest Flame And The World's Gonna Know Your Name

[Source

.1. I watched the Olympics Opening Ceremony on Friday night like the majority of the UK; I found it a bit boring to begin with but it got a lot better and I loved the music they chose. My favourite parts were probably Mr Bean and David Beckham's appearances and Emeli Sande's performance too. I haven't really been glued to my TV as i'm not a massive sports fan but I love watching the swimming, rowing and cycling even though they just make me feel guilty for being unfit!

.2. I finally gave blood on Wednesday; I only gave a little bit as it went wrong last time and they need to test it to see if I can give it properly again. It wasn't too bad although i've got a nice bruise as usual (my veins are shocking) but a chinese and much awaited catch up with the girls was the perfect way to end my day :)

.3. I found the motivation to start writing my CV yesterday so that I can apply for some placements for 2013. I'm not expecting it to be easy as I have no experience in a marketing job but i'm thinking of mentioning my blog as i'd love a placement in digital marketing or social media. I'm in two minds about it as I don't know if it would actually benefit me to talk about it especially as it's just a hobby but equally I know how important blogging and social networking are at the minute for brands.

♥ of the week: the Sorted website has given me so much food inspiration; I can't wait to get back to uni and start cooking some decent meals for myself! This Lemon Meringue Pie and Italian Chicken Burger are at the top of my list :)

Are We Meant To Live In The Skies Tonight?

I love Victoria's eBay posts so I thought i'd share a few of the things that are currently in my eBay shopping basket. I haven't had an account for long but I love finding little bargains and things you can't get on the high street.
Silver Skull Bracelet - i've seen these everywhere and I love how they can give any outfit a bit of an edge. There are so many pieces of jewellery on eBay from China and Hong Kong that are just the same as Topshop and other more expensive shops so eBay is always worth a look before you make a purchase.

Black Bow Heels - these are really similar to some i've seen in Schuh but for a fraction of the price. I'm a bit wary of buying shoes from eBay as I always worry they might not fit properly but there are so many nice heels on there that i'm sure i'll end up buying a pair at some point!

Warehouse Studded Collar Top - I love the detailing on this top and its one that you could easily dress up or down and it will also go with everything.

Cranberry Dip Hem Skirt - these are in so many shops at the minute and they're really flattering and perfect for summer. At under £6 each i'm considering buying one in every colour!

Double Ear Cuff - I'm really indecisive and I think i'd probably regret getting my cartilage pierced so this is perfect for pretending that I do!

Pull Me Back To Earth

I've shared my love for Lee Stafford's products so many times on my blog as they smell amazing and actually do what they're supposed to. My favourite is definitely the Shine Spray which I reviewed here -it's one of the only hair products i've ever repurchased as I normally like a change! I was recently sent the new Lee Stafford BREaKiNG HAiR DeTaNGLiNG SPRaY which is designed to make hair easy to brush and detangle it which is perfect for summer.

Hairdresser Lee Stafford says, “Simply spray over your hair, comb through and style as normal for the ultimate super-silky, salon-smooth results. You can use this spray on both wet and dry hair giving you the perfect base before styling.”

I'm normally quite careful about what styling products I use as I find that some just make your hair greasy and I hate wasting my time washing my hair and then ruining it! I found this detangling spray actually worked really well as I have long hair and it's often a bit crazy when I get out of the shower. It smells really nice like all Lee Stafford products and the smell actually stayed on my hair after i'd dried it. I never normally use a detangler but I can see myself adding this into my hair routine as it makes it a bit quicker and I love the scent it adds to my hair! For me it worked best on wet hair but I do like that you can also use it on dry hair if you need to although I don't think it's as easy to detangle your hair that way. I'm not going on holiday this year so I can't really say how well it would work if you'd been in a swimming pool but it's definitely a product i'd pack if I was going away.

The Breaking Hair Detangling Spray* is priced at £6.99 for 150ml and is available exclusively at Boots.

Stop Looking Down At The Ground, Just Pick It Out Of The Clouds

In the past few months i've been thinking a lot about getting a tattoo. I've been a follower of the Tattoologist blog for a while and there are so many amazing tattoos on there that I love. I'm quite an indecisive person so the thought of getting something as permanent as a tattoo is quite scary as i'd hate to get a design I regretted! I know i'd only ever get something small and at the minute i'm thinking of getting one on my foot as it's a place where you can hide it if you need to as I know my parents don't really like them! I like really simple tattoos; i'm not sure if i'd ever get any words as I think you've got to have a reason to get them - I love the way the ones below look but i've only ever considered getting song lyrics and I still think i'd regret that after a few years. I thought i'd share a few of my favourites from Tattoologist and Tumblr and maybe in a few months i'll have one of my own to post about.

I was recently sent some temporary tattoos by Skin Art and i've had lots of fun trying them out and seeing people's reactions when they thought i'd got a real tattoo! I'd definitely recommend these if you don't want a permanent tattoo as there are lots of different designs and they actually look realistic.

You can buy them from Boots for £7.99 which I think is really good as you get three sheets of tattoos for that price. They're also good if you're thinking of getting a tattoo but can't decide where as you can try out lots of different places first. To apply them you simply cut them out, place them face down on your skin and apply a damp sponge to the back until the tattoo is in place. I found that they lasted around three to five days before they wore away but they do come off quite easily when you're in the shower.

My favourite designs are the swallows, feathers and stars but there are lots of others which i'm looking forward to trying out and i'll probably share them in one of my instagram posts :)

You Know I'm Gonna Freewheel

I can't remember the last time I wrote a favourites post so this is a little round-up of all the things i've been loving in the past few months. I've included a little bit of everything as I always seem to talk about something other than beauty in my other posts :)
Collection 2000 Concealer
I bought this after seeing so many good reviews and I can definitely see why people like it! Its the first liquid concealer i've ever used but i've been converted as it works wonders on dark circles and blemishes and the colour goes well with my foundation. I also love how affordable it is and I know i'll repurchase it a lot!
Liz Earle Sheer Skin Tint*
In the warmer weather earlier this month I wore this as it's better than wearing foundation which just melts off your face. It's also a really good match for my skin tone and you don't need to use a lot which makes it good value for money too. [full review here]
Benefit The Pore fessional
Like pretty much everyone in the blogosphere I picked up a copy of Glamour Magazine to get the Benefit freebie. I wasn't really interested in the other products you could get as I knew this one the only one i'd really use. I only use it under my makeup when i'm going out as its only a tiny sample and I don't want it to run out too quickly! It works really well and I know i'll be tempted to purchase a full sized one when it runs out as it really lives up to the hype!

Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel
I love the entire Original Source range so i've been waiting forever for them to bring out a Strawberry shower gel and I wasn't disappointed when I picked this up! It's really fruity and creates lots of bubbles which is all you need in a good shower gel. I also love the packaging and how affordable it is :)
Soltan Mousse
I've already mentioned this in my fake tan post but i've been really loving the colour this fake tan gives. It's not too dark and looks really good even after you've had a shower which a lot of fake tans don't. I also find it really easy to apply and it doesn't end up on my bed sheets! [full review here]
Lady Million Perfume
This is the newest perfume i've bought and I love wearing it! I got it in a gift set as it worked out cheaper than buying a bottle on its own but i'm trying not to use it too often as it was still quite expensive!

Company Magazine
I think Company is the only magazine that writes specifically for everyday girls; I like how a lot of the features are bloggers or readers and the fashion is affordable and realistic. I love reading my horoscope so that's one of my favourite bits even though it's tiny!

Music & TV
I've been loving the new albums by Futures and Josh Osho this month and they're all i've really been listening to. My favourite songs on The Karma Album are: Islands In The Sea and Million Lights and my favourites from L.I.F.E are: Freewheel and Tmaia. I'd really recommend giving them a listen if you get chance :)
I also had to mention that i'm loving that 24 Hours In A&E is back on TV as its one of the only programmes that I watch religiously!
