Eyeko Product Reviews

I kindly got sent some of Eyeko's newest products to try this week.
I've tried a few of their older products but didn't really like them as much as i'd have hoped - the only one I love is the Disco Polish which I think has sadly been discontinued. I was optimistic about what to expect so here's my little reviews of the products.

I've never seen any products like this before and I think it's a really good idea. I'm not great at applying liquid eyeliner so a product like this is something i'd be interested in. It's very similar to a felt tip pen - the only thing I was worried about was it smudging or running. I tried this out on my lower lashline but it didn't really work - it went exactly like a felt tip pen when you get water on it -the pigmentation was barely noticeable. It works best when used on the upper lashline - it is fairly easy to get a straight line but doesn't give the same effect as a normal liquid eyeliner. I'd definitely recommend this to people who struggle to get a straight line or want a fast way of applying eyeliner as it is smudge proof and easy to remove.

I bought the Strawberry Fat Balm a while ago (you can see my review here) and although I liked the smell of it I wasn't a fan of the bright red pigmentation.
The Raspberry Fat Balm also gives your lips a dark red colour - it is wearable but im not sure if it suits me! I like the smell of this though as it isn't too strong. You can also use it as a blush - I haven't tried this but I think you'd need to blend it quite a bit to make it look natural.
The Minty Fat Balm is my favourite. It is really moisturising and gives your lips a nice pearly sheen. It tastes quite similar to Burt's Bees Lip Balm without the tingly sensation. Out of all the Fat Balms this is the one i'd recommend.

I got 2 of the Line & Shine duos - Plum & Electric Purple and Teal & Electric Blue.
As you can see from the swatches, these liners are really pigmented which is always a good thing.
The electric purple and plum are both really nice shades - my favourite is the plum as it's quite wearable and brightens up a softer eyeshadow. It was quite easy to apply along the upper lashline and created a fairly thick line.

Again I liked both shades but the electric blue one was my favourite as it was so pigmented. It's a really good shade to wear on a night out as it is bright and doesnt smudge easily. It is also easy to remove which is good.
I liked both of these eyeliners and I really hope Eyeko bring them out in other shades as it's a product I would consider repurchasing. There is another liner in the range which comes in Black Glitter & Silver.

Overall i've been quite impressed with the quality of these Eyeko products and will definetly consider purchasing some products from them again - I think some of them are a bit pricey for what you get but you do get a good sized product for your money.
Feel free to use my Ambassador code: E2757 if you order to get a free gift :)
This week with every purchase over £10 at Eyeko you can get a free PopStar Line&Shine (the blue one reviewed above) - just enter the code Pop Star into the comment box x

NOTD

Sorry I haven't blogged in what seems like forever! I've got a few tag posts to do soon though :)
Nails of the Day are Barry M Mint Green with white stripes from Konad plate M57. (They need a bit of neatening up around the edges) They remind me of sticks of rock!
Can anyone recommend me a good moisturiser as mine is running out?

Nice Things from The Body Shop

I ordered a few bits from the Body Shop sale ages ago and they've finally arrived. I think you can still get some of them on the website if you're quick!

Yes Yes Yes Oui Oui Oui Lip Butter - £5
I got this after seeing so many reviews a while ago. It was limited edition so I was gutted when I couldn't get it in the shops but it appeared on the website so I had to have it! It's really nice on your lips and lasts a while, it is quite expensive for £5 but I don't mind as it raises money for the Staying Alive Foundation.

Passionfruit Lip Butter - £2 (sale)
I've never tried a Body Shop lip butter and as this one was only £2 I thought it was worth a try. I've been using it ever since I got it - I just love the taste! I might have to order another in case it runs out.

Strawberry Set - £3 (sale)
I thought this was a bargain as the body butter is £5 individually! I did a review of it last week and loved it so much I ordered more! I think this has gone up to £5 but is still worth it as you get a shower gel and body puff with it too.

Are there any Body Shop products you're loving at the minute?

NOTD & Haiti

As requested by Kim, Bicky and Leanne, here's my Konad NOTD. This is the first one i've done using my new M57 plate.
I thought i'd go for the classic gold and black leopard print design - I did practise on the nail polish I was wearing before (Barry M - Turquoise) and it looked really nice on top of that - I wish i'd taken pics!
I used a little No17 polish that I got in a set for Christmas - the only problem is I have no idea what the colour is called!
I then used Barry M Black to print the leopard print design onto it. It doesn't print very dark but in some ways I think it looks better like that. I'll consider buying one of the Konad polishes in black so that I can get a better print.

Everyone has heard about the terrible earthquake that happened in Haiti, Gemma is trying to raise some money to help the country so please donate as much as you can. The video below will give you all the info you need. Click here to go to the Youtubers for Haiti donation site.

Thanks for reading - don't forget to buy the News of the World tomorrow to get your first token for the free Barry M goodies! Have a good weekend :)

Lush Review: The Comforter & Frosty Glitter Bubble Bars

I know there have been a lot of these recently and people are starting to get bored of them so i'm trying to do a few little reviews in one post. Today's review is of the first two bubble bars I tried: The Comforter & Frosty Glitter (or is it Flosty Gritter? - the website confused me!)

The Comforter was one of the first Lush products i've ever bought but it's still one of my favourites! I saw so many good reviews of it and I wasn't disappointed when I tried it out.
It smells a bit like Ribena and makes your bath a bright purpley pink colour. I love the soft bubbles it creates and it makes your bath really relaxing. It costs £3.95 for a 200g bar which I think is brilliant as you can get 2 or 3 baths out of it!
5/5

The thing I love the most about Frosty Glitter is that it smells like parma violets (if you don't know what I mean click here for a pic). I love the sweet scent and like The Comforter it creates lots of soft bubbles. It makes the bath a bright pink although there isn't much glitter (it all ends up in the bottom of the bath when you let the water out) It costs £3.30 for a 100g bar and you can get about 2 baths out of it although I just put it all in at once.
4/5
Are there any Lush products you'd recommend or like to see reviews of?
Is anyone thinking of getting the Heads Shoulders Knees and Toes box?

Nail Polishes - My Top 3

After doing my Nail Polish Storage post Rachel asked if I would show a few of my favourites so these are my Top 3 for January.
17 Fast Finish in Baked Cherry - £2.99. I've nearly run out of this colour- it's a deep raspberry colour and makes a nice change from a simple red.

Barry M in Turquoise - £2.95. I haven't had this long but it's one of my favourite Barry M shades. I really like the Barry M polishes as they have a huge variety of colours and are really affordable.

No7 Stay Perfect in Twinkle - £6.25. This is a pale pink with iridescent glitter in it. It look really nice as it is quite subtle - the only problem is that it's hard to get off! I really like the No7 polishes - at the minute you can get a £5 off No7 / Ruby &Millie voucher when you spend £5 in Boots which makes this polish just £1.25!

What are your Top 3 Nail Polishes this month?
Konad NOTD post coming soon

Free Barry M Products!

The lovely Pyxie tweeted about a brilliant offer from Barry M and Fabulous Magazine which I thought i'd let you all know about.
You can get all the goodies pictured below for free by collecting tokens from the magazine.

You can find Fabulous Mag free inside the News of the World every Sunday. All you have to do is collect 4 tokens and take them to your local Superdrug to get your free gift. I'm not sure, but I think the newspaper is £1 so really you get all this for £4 instead of £20! You can get hold of your first token in this Sunday's Magazine (17th Jan). I know i'll be getting it just for the nail polish!

Product Rave: The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter

I know a lot of you will have tried The Body Shop's Body Butters but this is the first one i've ever had. The main thing I like about it is the smell - it smells just like the Calpol medicine I had when I was little! I sometimes just put it on my hands so I can smell it! It's really moisturising so is great for dry skin on your hands, especially at this time of year.I got mine in a little set for Christmas - you can get a little 50ml tub for £5 online although if you look in the sale you can get it cheaper in a set - I love it so much i've ordered a couple more tubs!
Are there any other Body Shop Body Butters I should try?

Nail Polish Storage

My nail polish collection is always growing; I don't think i'll ever have too much as there are always gorgeous new shades coming out!
I now have around 60 polishes and storing them has become difficult as they take up a lot of room. The main reason for this is that they are all stored flat. I also know this isnt good for the nail polish which is why i've been looking for a new way of storing them.
My mum gave me a really good box that is the perfect height to store all my polishes in and means that they aren't flat anymore. The box came from a perfume set that she got for Christmas so I didn't have to invest in anything special and it now means that they aren't taking up as much room.
How do you store your nail polishes?

Snow!

As you all know its been super snowy in the UK in the past few days. I thought i'd do a post with a few snowy pics.
6th form was shut yesterday and today so i've been catching up on work and just enjoying not being there!
The snow on the top of the fence shows how deep it was at about 2pm on Tuesday.
How has the snow been where you live?

Accessorize Sale

I went to the Accessorize sale on Wednesday and got a couple of things. I really love all their pretty jewellery but sometimes find it a bit overpriced which is why I love the sale!
The sale section was a bit of a mess and it was difficult to find anything but I managed to find a cute pair of purple bow earrings that were £1.50.

I also found the matching necklace which was £2.

I love Oriental Print Patterns and have some really tiny purses that I love but they're too small to fit cards and notes in. I saw this purse and I really liked it as it's the perfect size to fit my money and cards in but also fit in a small bag. It was £2.50 instead of £5 and came in silver or gold.

Have you found anything good in the Accessorize sale?

Lush!

I went to Lush yesterday and for the first time; bought something. I've been in so many times before but have been so spoilt for choice i've left with nothing! After getting a Satsumo Santa for Christmas and seeing so many of your Lush posts I decided it would be a great time to get some Lush products in the sale.
I picked up:
-2 Comforters
-A Flosty Gritter Bubble Bar
-A Snow Fairy Gift*
    *100g Snow Fairy Shower Gel
    *30g Iridescent Glitterbug
    *70g Angel's Delight Star Soap
    This all came to £20.93
I could then pick either something from the Christmas range or a grab bag. I decided on the grab bag as it was worth £20 and I would have only saved about £10 if i'd picked one of the other Christmas gifts.
I was really pleased with what was in my grab bag as there were a couple of Christmas products that i'd been wanting in it.
I got: (click pic to enlarge)

-Let Them Eat Cake Lipbalm (I really wanted this - it smells amazing!)
    -Ruby Red Slippers Bubble Bar
    -2 Mister Butterballs
    -Snowcake Soap
    -Angels Delight Soap
    -Strawberry Santa Shower Jelly
    -So White Bath Ballistic

All of this is worth around £20 although the Angels Delight Soap is huge!
I know there have been lots of reviews on the Lush Christmas products so i'll probably do a Lush Favourites post when i've had the chance to try a few products.
Have you picked up anything good from Lush in the sale?
